I normally don't respond on these things, but after watching this show and trying to do so with my wife, I felt the need to at least say something. Are we so hungry to see some traditional hunting on TV that we have a tendency to look the other way when things are not right? I could not believe what I was seeing! Not that I like Tred, by any means, but my gosh! It appeared the only satisfaction for him was to see how many arrows he could get in the air with the hopes of maybe hitting something. I know he made his shooting of a longbow look very ineffective and I wonder how a unknowing person would view this. Is this what we want representing us on TV? I lost count of how many shots he took(and do not know how many were not shown) but I do distinctly remember him stating at the begining of the show that his effective range was 15-20 yds. His shortest shot shown(as stated by him, but appeared much longer) was 40yds, with some shots much over that and he was not even close to being on target, missing by feet! Much less the coup de grace, a running shot at over 45yds and he was at least 8-10ft. off. It is bad enough that this kind of behavior goes on, but to show this on national TV for all to see is unbelievable. I really find it hard to believe that his sponsors support this behavior and wonder if they really know what is being shown on the show. I think I am going to contact some sponsors and talk with them over this as I do know some of them. It is just very troubling to me to see our sport and what is a way of life for me, portrayed in this manner for all others to view. I do not want to have to spend my time hunting and shooting with traditional equipment, having to defend myself and my sport. Thanks and sorry for ranting, but it really got to me and I wanted to let it out. Mark
