Public hearing on closed hunting land in Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is proposing
several changes to increase the size and number of areas closed
to hunting. Tomorrow, March 1, hunters will have a chance to get
details on the plan. The NWTF encourages hunters to make their
voice heard.
Assembly Speaker Mike Huebsch (R-West Salem) says it is
important for sportsmen and women to be involved in the process.
"Over the last few years we have seen more and more public land
closed off to sportsmen and women," Huebsch said. "For the
future of our sporting heritage, it is crucial for hunters to
attend these hearings."
The public hearing will take place in La Crosse from 4-8 p.m. in
the State Office Building on Mormon Coulee Road.
