It happened here in Va several years ago. From what has been told there were actually very few hunters at the hearings, it was all manufactures just like Wile stated for his state. If it's any help I must admit it has had very little impact over all on our season. Bass Pro could not keep them in stock the first year or so but you don;t seem to find them in the woods that often.
I have to remind myself that everyone hunts for different reasons. Just because I enjoy the challenge more than the kill does not mean someone who hunts for the kill is wrong. Heck, if you really think about it the compounds with 80% let off, carbon arrows, mech broadheads, sights, stablizers, drop away rest, and releases have take most of the challenge out of it. But I never had bad feelings about those in the woods? I have to apply the same logic to XBows.
