The election is over.
« on: November 12, 2008, 07:58:00 AM »
Time for the forum to get back on topic. If legislation comes up that needs action from us then please post it. Speculation on our President Elects past performance and voting habits is nolonger needed or pertinent to the guidelines of this forum.

Please keep posts specific to Hunting Issues that exist and not what might happen from here on out.

Might be a real good time to join an organization that suits you that defends hunting at this time and to be more aware of what is happening in our government.

Thanks for caring and lets do what we can to protect our rights!

Did you pull my thread?I'm sorry but I think that when a person can't have a gun in Government housing in Illinois that has everything to do with hunting.

Forum guidelines are here  http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=93;t=000005

Some flexibility was allowed for the elections, but for better or worse they are now over.

I understand staying on topic, and staying away from name calling 100 percent, i hope we never loose our rights but if we do it will be because of neglect from us as hunters ,afraid of being political incorrect.Tradgang has the right to run this site how they see fit.I have the right to resign from tradgang ,i thaught we could inform each other on issues, but i was wrong. The president elect has issues that should concern all of us as hunters. So long fellas .no disrespect intended.c.h.

Trad Gang has NEVER allowed 'general political' topics....and never will.  Some slipped by a few days as of late, and for that we apologize.

We have never been about 'current events'...and leave that up to other media sources.  If there is an issue at hand that deals with hunting, we want to hear about it, but we don't want whats on TV News in here.  Trad Gang is an escape from that, and was created as such.  It has nothing to do with 'politically correct' and all to do with no general politics.

We don't want anyone to leave, but leave if you must.

If you want an escape to Trad Bowhunting, we got it covered right here at Trad Gang.

Trad gang is a terrific forum that offers much to the trad hunter, more and different from some others.
With that said, may I suggest that perhaps a place can exist here for the general political discussion. Another topic thread, that one can visit or not visit, that is all. Trads do have perspectives that are pertinent that need to be shared.  In many localities, there is a big bullseye on the bowhunter regarding banning of various hunting actiities.  That bullseye is laser-focused on the trad hunter for obvious reasons.
I do not see a problem with getting into the dirt of politics.  Nothing more than at 5:30 AM, farmers, hunters and town folk sitting around together at the cafe talking politics over a cup of coffee.  Like it or not, we all need to be engaged in it at the highest level and with all  perspectives contributing.
This is just my opinion on the matter and will leave it at that.  I do not need to be reminded that I can leave if I must.  This is a great place for Trad hunters to visit.
Thank you for offering this forum.

I, for one, am happy that no general political discussions are had here.  If topics related to trad bowhunting are that is great.  We don't need more reasons to fight and argue amongst ourselves.  I think that is one of the things that separates this site from others.  JMHO.

No argument here.
I will comment that "current events today" turns to history tomorrow.  I just want our community of traditional hunters to be appropriately engaged. And engaged without all the inappropriate battles as noted on some other site forums.
