what happened ?
« on: November 04, 2014, 08:28:00 PM »
OK, I really would like to hear if there was more that came of this, but I really hope we don't resurrect the heated debate from the day.

Earlier this season we had a moose killed in western Colorado that caused quite a stir.  Does anyone know if any more came of it ?  Was there more information revealed ?  Did anything happen ?  or did it just quiet down and go away ?

Please, info only, no debate on good / bad / or ugly.

If it's the one I'm thinking of everything was perfectly legal, the people that didn't like it threw their little hissy and life moved on, with no more problems.

you do, but I purposely didn't say much. Far as I know it was trad and legal.

That moose killed "in view" of park visitors.  I believe the original post was something like " another dumb A** in Colorado"

We had much heated debate and I don't want to start that again, but if there was any follow up or repercussions that were worried about, can we hear about them ?

Oh...I really did't keep up with that one...but think someone might have pulled it...

I think we really don't need to beat a dead moose....I'm sure you can google it and find out all you want.

There is a citizen petition in the works to Parks and Wildlife to create a no-hunt zone around the brainard lake recreation area which is in a National Forest.  No actual "park" involved.

This petition will probably be heard at an upcoming meeting of the Parks and Wildlife commission.  That decision can be influenced in whatever direction you may prefer by contacting the commission members via the CPW web site.
