A Day at the Range - pics
« on: January 14, 2008, 11:10:00 AM »
Yesterday was a gorgeous day for our Sunday shoot, here are a few pics.

Target #1 - Roger kicking us off, notice we even let a compounder shoot with us  :)

Doug taking aim on our 160 yd cross canyon shot.

Ken taking the 160 yd shot, it is fun to watch the arrows fly and we occassionaly actually hit the target.

If you look close you can see Doug's arrow just in front of his bow (yellow fletch)

This is our tamed down 50 yd cross canyon shot.  Ken nailed it.

Here is Steve on the 3D range.  There is something about this target that I hate, I think it has become a mind game with me and I miss this one 50% of the time.  Skipped it off the back yesterday.

It is really nice to have a great range in a beautiful setting less than 10 minutes from the house.  Steve and Roger are Tradgangers too.

Don't know if I could shoot very well at that range. I'd be too distracted by the GREAT scenery. Nice range.

Where is this range?  I go visit a buddy in Woodland Park, is it within an hour or so from there?

Great pics Mark!!!  Perfect day on the range.

Sorry I missed it, had some other pressing things on the agenda.

What time do you usually meet up there on Sunday mornings?  I will try and make it next week.

Mike, sorry the range is way west of Woodland Park, it is near Grand Junction, CO.  Jake we meet at 10:00 and you better bring that shrew up when you get it.

HO'NEHE JEFF - It's not as cold as you might think.  We were peelin' layers off half-way through the first round.  Besides...the snow keeps us from breaking so many arrows on the 160 yarder (the target sits on rock).

It was awesome you allowing the compounder to join in.  Maybe he will come over from the dark side.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.
