I'm think about going after a spring gobbler with my bow as well. I've hunted turkeys for about 20 years with a shotgun so i'm very familiar with their keen eyesight and how tough they are.
my question is arrow color. i've got some cool arrows on order and they have white crown dips...do you think those birds will spook off of a white crown dip?

I don't think so. I would be more concerned about another hunter seeing the white, and thinking it's part of a turkeys head. Just a thought.
I too hunted them for quite a while with the shotgun. It's no fun being stalked (while calling)

Polar fleece material doesn't have to be , goes over your arrow fletching. Hides the color.

rappstar,
Just shoot an arrow in the air, you guys have so many darn turkeys out there it'll probably hit one, before it hits dirt!!
