Obsessed (do I need professional help?)
« on: February 02, 2007, 02:20:00 PM »
I am so obsessed with archery it is scary.  I have the tendency to get obsessive about things but this sport is right up there where girls were when I was 16 years old  :scared:  .  I really want winter to end so shooting in my yard is more pleasant.  Oh wait I still need to go on a bunny hunt, no wait league is fun and I need to improve my shooting for my spring bear hunt  :smileystooges:  ……see I’m crazy.  Thank god for this site because I can tell I’m not alone.  Who else feels a little crazy about it?

Guilty as charged. And somehow trad gear is even worse for me than my compound was...

I'm alright in my own mind, if I could just save myself from myself.  :bigsmyl:  I know its of limited resorce's (my mind that is)
Our first step is to admit we have a problem. OK OK OK I do have a problem like so many of you. If we could just all get together, for group support. Comptons I just don't have the time to take care of it. It just makes me more consumed by desires.

Good luck we are all in this together(Red Green)

Sounds like you need therapy......like another bow or something. Welcome to the other side.

I'm not so sure therapy is a good idea. Did you notice that next to most Archery Therapist's offices there is a guy selling bows out of his mobile trad shop?

Do I qualify?
I have six bows now and one on order and am looking at a couple more that I find interesting.
However I am confused because I can't figure out why anyone should need more than one bow!!!!!

A little crazy?
What if...what if one combines archery with flyfishing the Hex Hatch or flycasting Clousers for smallies?

This way lies sheer madness!

Does 3 Rivers carry straight-jackets? Maybe in a ghillie-suit style?    :scared:

Obsessed I'm not obsessed I only have five bows and a few dozen arrows and just bought a cresting lathe and a digital camera so I can post photos on trad gang. I go to the range twice a week and shoot in my dining room. Nope I'm not obsessed.  :archer:
