Can this bow be saved?
« on: January 16, 2008, 10:00:00 PM »
I was shooting my Redwing Hunter and the string snapped. I looked everything over but didnt notice anything until today. Heres is a pic of the cracks on the limb and also I found something that looks like a ripple. Can I save this bow?

That looks like it goes all the way through the glass, if it were mine I'd hang'er up.  Not worth loosing an eye or other body part if she decides to let go.  If your bent on fixin it, then you might be able to use a patch over it with a tight wrap.  Droptine and Bowdoc could give you a better idea in regards to saving it or not.

i'm  with Tim> Absolutely NOT ! I think that if you continue to shoot it the limb will not snap, but it will fold. Don't take any chances!!

Yup. It is time for a new bow-a fix won't last, and it may prove dangerous.
