It is my understanding when testing different wood spined shafts, your not trying to shoot a group. But rather looking for good arrow flight, Is this correct ? In the pictures below one arrow is spined 51 and the other 55.
I picked these up at a Trad shop had to do a little traveling but it was worth it. The bow used was a Bear Kodiak Mag #48@28 29 1/2 in shaft. The distance was 18yds.
Based on the information would you say I need arrows spined in the 50-55 # range 125 grn head.
I don't want to be underspined, these arrows flew GREAT. Just wanted to make sure. When I shot the second arrow it smacked the other
and yeah it felt good.
I might add I wasn't watching for arrow flight, should I back up and just watch flight ?
Any help suggestions are greatly Appreciated.
