IMO, $35 per handmade string is simply too much.
$15 per handmade string is too little for all that work, and when you figure in the time and materials factors, you find you just can't justify making strings as a sole business offering. Which is why I'm outta the string making for profit game.
You ain't going wrong, Chad, yer just doing what all the other stringmakers are doing - going for cheap.
IMHO, in the 21st Century, with all its inflationary baggage, a fair price for a custom handmade Flemish or endless string is between $20 and $25. IMHO, this is a fair handmade string pricing. This ain't gonna make ya rich, but at the end of the day you'll have a few dollars in yer pocket after expenses and to show for all the time ya spent.
However, only the consensus of the majority of stringmakers can make this happen, and if that should happen, which I doubt it will, then I'll throw my coonskin cap back in the string making bidness.
