My new Kanati
« on: January 18, 2008, 12:22:00 AM »
I know, just another new bow thread. But this one is better, because it's MY new bow thread  :D

Just got my new JK Kanati from Jason. This is the first custom bow that I have ordered new from the bowyer and I really lucked out. I told Jason what I wanted and he just happened to have one with my exact specs in stock. So instead of 3 month wait(although this is very reasonable), I only had a 3 day wait! Anyway, it is camo actionwood with bamboo belly and back over actionwood cores. I shot it in my garage tonight until my arms hurt, and I am totally impressed. Very lightweight, awesome grip, and it seems to be plenty fast. It is 58" long, 48#@28" or about ~51# at my 29" draw.

Enough of my rambling, here's some pics.

Congrats!!!  Awesome colors on that bow!!!

I have a couple of Jason's bows and my budy has one like yours on order.

Jason makes a very nice looking and shooting bow, and is a great guy to boot!

Enjoy your new Kanati, You will not want to loose that one any time soon!!

Can anyone comment on the name change from Kabekona?  I have always liked the looks of these bows...maybe my next one.

im sure jason can... he used to make the Kabekona ... and i believe he made some slight changes to the design to come up with the Kanati....Jason is an outstanding bowyer and his bows are 1 of these best values out there.
