My first bunny in a few years
« on: January 18, 2008, 07:09:00 PM »
It's been about 5 years since the last time I shot a rabbit with my trad gear, or any gear for that matter,LOL! Tonight I was blessed with this fat bunny, who was hiding in a thick briar tangle. I had a 4inch hole to shoot through and made good on it. I used a 60# Martin Mountaineer sent to me by a good friend(Yotekiller). He wasn't going to use it anymore and was kind enough to pass it on to me. Today was my first time playing with my new toy and the mojo flowed right away!

Just one more step please!

Nice wabbit, you traditional wascal. Sorta like bowling a perfect 300 with a new ball.

Can't wait see the the pictures of the Pope and Younger you're destined to shoot next Fall with that "Lucky charm" longbow.

Very sweet.  I gather that is a cotton tail?  Do they not turn white in the winter?  Here in Nova Scotia we get snowshoe hares and they turn white for the winter.  Always makes a challenge when you are hunting white foe on white snow.
A bad day of hunting is still far better than a good day at work.
