Lam bow ?
« on: January 19, 2008, 08:01:00 AM »
I was just wondering when building/speaking of Laminated bows how much of a contribution to the bows performance can be attributed to the fiberglass? I know that limb design comes into play but what i'm wondering is what happens on any given bow when the glass lams are just left out? Inquiring minds just want to know! thanks, Rick

Rick,

Most bow designs will not live without the glass or carbon.  If you, substitute bamboo and horn you can get by with some designs if you don't ask more of it then the materials can do.

Glass contributes 90% of the performance to bow and more importantly nearly 100% of it's ability to live.

Check out our website.  We do a lot with "all natural" materials.
