Tradtional Bowhunting was the driving force behind me becoming a knife maker!
There I was one day, getting ready to field dress a doe I harvested. I had my take-down recurve made for me by a bowyer in Michigan and I had him use my own osage as an accent strip on the riser.
I have made my own arrows since I graduated high school in '72, so I had my own arrows, and they were fletched with goose feathers from a goose I shot. My quiver was autographed by Glen St. Charles!
And there I was, with a store bought $30.00 knife.
I thought, "What's wrong with this picture!?!? This doe deserves more than that."
Not long after that, I found a Blade Magazine at the grocery store, and that was 10 years ago................
