I've had that happen, Leftie! LOL! Sometimes it helps to put another piece of leather between the clamps and the sheath...just make sure the smooth side of leather is against the sheath. Looks good!

That is just run of the mill stabilized spalted birch from Alpha Knife Supply.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes I have found out that leather work is not as easy as it looks on DVD
Thats why this is my second sheath in reality. The first one did not make the grade.
