Mr.Blakes best ever.....
« on: March 21, 2008, 09:43:00 AM »
I think your right.I think Mr.Blake deserves his own post on this beauty.I did add the one pic in the knife swap, but maybe thats not the right place...Here is a pic of the lower guard, with silver leaf work and acorns. It's really hard to get good pics, eather the brass is to shiney or it's the top of my bald head showing..This beast must weight in at 2 pound or so total...Wait till I get to the blade, man your gonna love it.Little more history on Mr.B not only was he a master of the blade...He also made well over 20 smoke polls...He made black powder guns from scratch..He cut the lands? and groves? in the barrels.I think thats want they are called. He made 20 long guns and about 10-12 pistolays. All still working like new...He made the hammer the breach plugs, everything.I was just amazied at what this man could do...I gonna keep it up.....bowdoc

Now I know why I dont have my knife back, bowdoc has to clean the drool off of it! you should see his unfinished works, he was taking an engraving class and had plans to be even more elaborate. He never started engraving on knives but sketched out his plans. I also need to find out where to get some dental silver to finish another one, anybody know?
