Imbuya and damascus skinner
« on: March 30, 2008, 06:55:00 PM »
I did this knife for a guy on another forum.

Imbuya Phoebe (brazilian walnut) and a damascus blade from Idaho and mosaic pins. Sheath is handmade.

VERY nice, I like it!  Nice job on the sheath.  Do you do the leather staml work before or after the stitching?

I do all my stamping before the sheath is sewed together. Wet it and use Tandy stamps on a the flat metal part of the vise. I also punch my first set of stitching holes before it is put together. Makes it easier for me to line up the front and back...not perfect...just easier. LOL!
