Noob question
« on: February 03, 2007, 07:44:00 AM »
Hey guys,

I'm a noob to archery/bow making.

I'm sort of experimenting in making simple longbows. Just need to know what the easiest way is for measuring the draw weight, and max draw length.

In the ones I've made, I haven't even taken into consideration what the draw weight/length would be (I know, I'm an idiot). So of course, as a result, I havent had much luck in creating a succesful bow.

Lets say for instance, I want a draw weight of around 60-65lbs and draw length of 29". Whats the easiest process for doing this?

For the most part right now, I just want to know how I can measure the weight/length of a bow I already made (hasn't yet been stringed).

Thanks in advance,

Navieko.
