Recurved belt knife for Africa
« on: June 04, 2008, 07:14:00 AM »
I've been thinking about a bigger knife to take to Namibia with me. I came up with this fella;

OAL - 12-1/4"
Blade length - 7-1/4"
Blade - convex/scandi ground 3mm 01, edge quenched.
Handle - Thuya Burr with 3, 8mm pins & lanyard tube.
Sheath - 4mm veg-tan with raised Bullsnake skin inlays.

Pics......

Awesome, Rob!  That one will be hard to top.
Maybe someday, a tutorial on a sheath like that?

Wow! And double WOW! That is one beefy knife! I like the convex grind over a hollow grind edge. Makes for one strong blade. That sheath turned out simply awesome! Nice combo there Rob!
