New to this site. Been shooting a Eddings recurve for the last year. Would like to update and change gears to longbow.
Just wondering what the thoughts are on the bear montana longbow? Have shot one, nice, and would meet my needs, just looking for input.
Thanks Mike

Welcome! I started out with a Montana and I think they are great bows for the money.I have two of them now, along with a couple of others. I still shoot them from time to time.

I shot one for the past year, good bow, and very forgiving.

I thought they were very good performing bows, especially for the price. Some(including me) like to modify them a little--primarily refine the grip and reduce the limb tips a little. I sold mine a while back but have been thinking about another. I think this time I'd add some skin-eez to the limbs. Good bow and if you ever decide to sell it you'll probably get most of your money back out of it.

They are good bows, and vastly underrated, IMO. As jeff w said above, the minor mods make it a real sweetheart. Best bang for the buck out there, short of a used custom.

Great bow!! mine has outlasted my custom bows. it is just an awesome bow and for the price, i don't feel bad getting it scratched and dirty out in the field. you won't be disappointed with this bow!
