Sherwin Williams finish
« on: January 22, 2008, 09:53:00 PM »
Looking for information on the "new" Sherwin Williams finish that some of the bowyers have switched to. Such as a comparison with Thunderbird and Fullerplast in the areas of ease of use, film thickness[how well it fills pores], toxicity, resistance to scratching/chipping, and cost comparisons. I guess what I'm looking for would be a finish that is as hard and durable and with the low toxicity of Thunderbird but would be as easy to use and fill pores as well as Fullerplast and that would cost less than either. If anyone can can tell me if the Sherwin Williams product fills this bill or if there is another finish that does, please let me and some others who have been asking similar questions know.
Thanks for your time and knowledge, Gary

Contact wingnut. FWIW I think it looks nice on a bow. Seems durable enough.

We used it for a couple of years and started having some minor difficulties with it.  One it doesn't stick to snake skin worth crap.  LOL

We have gone back to Tbird and are very happy with it.
