snake skin sheath
« on: September 04, 2008, 09:00:00 PM »
Well this is my first snake skin sheath.  I am happy with the outcome, so thought I would post a photo.
Adds quite a bit of time to make compared to a regular sheath, and requires some more "thinking ahead".
I killed this timber rattler last year and tanned him.
The sheath making is as fun as the knife making.  Oh yeah, the knife has elk antler handles.
Thanks, Dan

Absolutely Stunning Dan!! What an EXCELLENT job on that snake skin sheath and a beauty of a knife as well. I'm envious as hell.
I reckon so

Sweet combo!

How about a build along?  I'd love to see how you do it!

Dan outstanding job.

I agree with the others. A build along is a must do for you.

Again outstanding job on both blade and sheath...

Thanks, guys.  Hmmm, maybe I will do a build along next time.  But it will likely be after deer season!
