White Iron II
« on: October 17, 2008, 10:00:00 AM »
I made up another White Iron Hunter, with a slight variation or II!
This one is made in a fixed assembly design, and I filed in a finger purchase.
Basically the same knife.
Forged from heavy stock 5160, selectively hardened, but I did an 800 hand rubbed finish instead of the etch.
Early 20th Century Bakelite for a solid grip!
(I tossed in the White Iron Hunter to illustrate the differences)
Just an honest working knife - with soul.

When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Carl,

I have to say, the attention you pay to your guards is great!  All rounded and comfortable, with that flawless polish!  A lot of folks, me include, could take a lesson from you about making a comfortable and beautiful guard.  The rest of your knives are pretty doggone nice, too.

Todd
