Annual New Years Eve Arrow Launch

Don't forget to get ready for it before Midnight Sunday night gets here. If you can get someone to take your pic at Full Draw in preparation to do it, I want it, for my pages of Traditional Bows Drawn.

Bernie, I launch an arrow every year. I will have to see if my wife can stay up to take the picture ! As my daughter shoots one with me.

That'd be great. There are an awful lot of us that do it now, and I think it is neat, but of course I know I'm not going to get many pics of it. Any would be nice though. If it isn't too cold for my wife, I might even get her to take one for me - LOL.
Remember, all, at the Full Draw point for my purposes.

Bernie,
I'll see what I can do to get you some pics as well. Last year because the weather wasn't
to bad I ended up scrambling to string my wifes, daughters and sons bow at the last minute so they could join me. I'll have em all strung way ahead of time this year. LOL But one way or the other I'll get you some pics.

Me, Jake and Jim from Mississippi Lake Longbow are hunting the last day tomorrow. It will be some serious partying going on after that, so....Yep!!! we'll be flinging some midnite arrows!
I'll send you them Bernie.

Out standing! Kevin Brown sent me one, and I got one of myself also. Should be some good additions to the pages. I love it! Be waiting for them. Some will get posted tomorrow AM. Happy New Years to all.

I don't have a picture but I have a short story...Yesterday afternoon, about 4:30, I went out back to shoot a little before dark... The air was crisp and still...The sky, clear with the most beautiful moon I have seen in a while...Something then came over me that maybe you might understand...
I Wanted To Shoot An Arrow At The Moon!!!...I'm Serious!!!...Just Stood There Looking Up and Had To Keep Myself From Doing Something Nuts!!!...If I were at my home in the mountains...Maybe...But in back yard in NYC...It's a no no to shoot over your fence...
OK So what's the point? Don't know. Asking YOU!

mgstalker, coyotes and dogs tend to bark and howl at the moon....... so it's only natural that a traditionalist would want to shoot the moon. "bet ya I can hit it from here"
Besides trad achers have relied on, and used the moon for centuries to aid them on the hunt.

Just look at all the Full Draw pics on my pages if you doubt the mystical, insistant, powerful attraction of the launched arrow from Full Draw.(Sometimes it sooths the sudden urges - but BEWARE - maintain full controll, as it can increase them -

Couldn't shoot at the moon, not any more till I retire up north, but I was in my basement shooting. If the groups I shot this am are any indication of how I will shoot this year...watch out ! (No...I meant that in a good way...you don't need to run and hide from errant shafts !).

It was pouring rain here last night. The wife and kids decided not to launch an arrow. But I did! I even got the little wife to step out long to take a pic or two with our daughters camera.
I'll get em posted this afternoon.
