I need some help here folks.
Im in the middle of my next knife and have a question related to the grind lines on the blade. This is the template that im loosely copying (handle is going to be longer...feels funny in the hand when its that short)
Anyway, i have a flat grind from the cutting edge to the end of the grind that i marked on my blade. The ricasso obviously becomes more evident as you remove metal, but the lines near the spine are where im having problems. There is a definite ridge along the line i had marked out, but it just doesnt seem like it is as defined as most i have seen.
I didnt know if this was something that would just "pop" when i finished and polished the blade, or if I needed more of a hollow grind to really define the lines. Inquiring minds want to know.
