Can I grind blades on a 6X48 sander?
« on: July 05, 2009, 10:53:00 PM »
I only want to play around with some blades, probably won't do many. I need a sander and I would like the 6X48 Grizzly for grinding Bamboo for bow backing.I was wondering if I can do a blade on such a wide belt or do I need two sanders?

As you can see I've no experience grinding blades.I just see that most knife grinders are 2" wide.

Thanks
Randy

I grind all my blades on a 6x48, it will work, but isnt great for shorter blades.
