Anvils
« on: August 24, 2009, 05:41:00 PM »
I've been in search of an anvil for some time now. I happened to go to the Harford Fair in PA on Friday. I talked to a Blacksmith who was doing a demo at the fair. Bingo, you've always heard about  the "I've got a guy" well "I've got a guy".

The gentlemen he told me about is an antique tool dealer. He started buying anvils years ago. Most were pretty beat up. He ran across a machine shop who was close. They offered to reface his anvils for a small price (and I mean small).

I bought a 110 pound 1900 Mousehole anvil today that was refaced for a ????? song.

He has several on hand. PM me for info.

Mod's if this is out of line please delete.

I answered all PM's. Now I must go soak my fingers.
