Drop Point Hunter
« on: November 03, 2009, 09:13:00 PM »
Finished Drop Point hunter 11 3/4" OAL. forged from 1075 steel with Distal taper, 416 Stainless finger guard and cocobolo handle.  I made the sheath.  I also followed Karl's lead and added a Concho!

I made a "light Box" and I think improved my picture Quality.

Please critique the photo quality and the knife.

Steve

You made that knife???!!!  :saywhat:

Just kidding Steve. You're putting your training to good use, my friend. Anyone would be proud to carry such a knife and sheath. Lin

Thanks for the kind comments!
Dana, I plan to start "Hot stamping" to get a deeper impression.  I have been cold stamping and it does not show up as well.

Lin, I studyed your "Guard on hidden tang" tutorial which really helped me out!  Thanks!

Good deal! I'm glad it helped.

I hope to do a step by step hunting knife blade forging demo (pictorial) soon. Lin
