Foot made knives
« on: January 09, 2010, 11:03:00 AM »
Posted these quite a while back in an old Bear Quest post.Whatcha think of these knives they were made by foot. The man who made these for me has no arms.He was born like that b/c of Thelidmide(sic)drugs given to his mother around the 60's and thousands of babies born like that in England and America before it was removed.I gave the deer antler ones to each of my son-in-laws and the wood handle stays at my camp.Hope you knifemakers find this intresting.Sheaths were made by a friend.Kip

Thats amazing! When I think about all the steps one has to go through I wouldnt attempt it with only one hand much as less none.

That'll certainly beat anything I'll ever do.
That's inspiring and humbling all at the same time!
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Wow that's incredible. I've known several truly handicapped individuals in my life and they always amazed me. All they ever wanted was to do what normal folks do. Funny none of them ever  parked in the handicapped places you see so many use now adays.
Most people get rich by making more money than they have needs, me, I just reduced my needs!

He really is incredible he loves to hunt squirrels and deer.He rides his 4wheeler to the woods and lies down on the ground holds the shotgun with one foot and pulls the trigger with the other.Always bearfoot even in this ice cold weather really amazeing to see him handle himself.Kip

Makes you wonder why you can't do more with 2 good hands and feet when a guy with no hands can do all that. I remember when the Thalidomide problem happened. Lot of sad cases as a result. That's why I like to stay away from the pharmacy and if I have to, I ask for the old proven drugs with some track record. Scary stuff.
