forge supplers
« on: January 22, 2010, 02:57:00 PM »
Where can I go to get set up with propane forge supplys. I cant seem to find someone that has everything. Ellis was suggested, but he seems to be out of alot of items. Im just trying to save shipping cost. Its will add up if I have to go to two or three places.
Id like a forge burner [blower type], some quench oils, insulation and fire brick.
  thanks Mark

have you tried Zoeller Forge? I'm getting all that from him as I write. Minus the oil.  He seems slow though... sounds like he is really busy putting together orders.

If you get his Z burner you can easily convert to a blower from what I've heard. I'm just getting a side burner kit for right now...

You might give Tracy Mickley a call. He has USA Knifemaker's Supply. He might have some or all of it. His prices are good. Tell him I sent you.

I'm surprised Darren did not have everything.

My forge from Darren Ellis just got shipped to my clinic today.  Darren & his wife Kathryn are also full time students so they have been catching up since Thanksgiving & Christmas...exams & holidays.  If you order something, they make it as apposed to having everything pre-made...tippit

Scroll down to the bottom of that page and you will find everything you need.

Thanks, he is out of quench oil for the time being and doesnt know when he will have any. That is kinda what started me looking elsewhere. I may just have to deal with a couple of places to get it all. I was just trying to save a buck. Thanks for all the help.  Mark
