Can't have too many toys...
« on: January 26, 2010, 10:42:00 PM »
He who dies with the most toys wins, right?  ;)

Been looking for a good surface grinder for quite some time and finally found one on Craig's List. It was in great shape, a 6 hours circle and fair amount of change but I got it. Should make cleaning up billets a much easier and more precise job.

Very cool toy.
I've got a budy with a machine shop who has one he never uses. Been trying for years to talk him outta it.

I have looked at them and it would definately make cleaning up billets a lot easier and more precise.

good find, Doug. That's on my ten year plan...right after a power hammer, a milling machine, and a couple other toys!

Wish I was as far along as you are!!!

Now come on Doc, if you sold half those bows you could just buy a knife factory  ;)

Maybe you need to talk faster Robin, one of these things is about a must for building folders...

Hey Guys, got my belt grinder attachment for the surface grinder done yesterday. After a little studying pics from Buddies, my old grinder and sketching it took about three hours to build her, I'm pretty tickled.

I cleaned up two blades from the forge in like a minute each, amazing time saving not to mention much more precise machine...

Cool, Doug!
I'm jealous.

By the way, what kind of a saw are you gonna put that saw blade on in the background? I don't think my Dewalt will handle it.
