Couple of Hunters
« on: March 09, 2010, 05:05:00 PM »
Still wait for my leather to come in, so I have been playing with my light box.  Here are two hunters waiting for pants.

Both are O1 heat treated to RC59-60
First one has flaming walnut handle a germany silver fittings.  The second on is a stablized black ash burl and 416 stainless fittings

Thanks for looking,

James

That walnut is fantastic!
And the light box seems to be working as well.
Nice job on both of those, James.
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

Those are great James!
I am absolutly no professional ,but instead of proping the knife up and trying to get the right angle just try rotating the camera.
Also try backing off the knife then zooming in to get rid of shadows.
The reason I say this is I struggle taking shots and these are the things the pros are telling me.All and all they are great pics just thought this might help.and if you've got a lot of walnut like that I sure could use some.

Very Nice! Both of them!  The swept guard on the Ash is a nice touch.
