Kershaw Leek until the cheap little blade lock breaks AGAIN. Hate changing those locks out.

I always have either a little Buck keychain knife or a little Old Timer pen knife in my pocket.  When I'm in the field with work I normally have a leatherman on my side.  I will say that the other day I was trying to remove a nail (used like a cotter key) that was holding a tooth in a drill auger.  I was trying to pull it out but didn't have quite enough room to get the tips of the pliers into the recess, so I tried to pry it a bit out so I could get a bite on it.  Snap, one side of the pliers sheared right off at the tip about 3/16" back.  I was kind of suprised at how brittle the plier tips were.  But I ground them down and have semi-bullnose pliers now!  LOL

I carry a Kershaw folder with the easy open feature. It opens in a hurry, it's just an overall good knife and keeps an edge well.

Victorinox SA Tinker, been carryin it quite a while, its stripped ALOT of wire. The screwdrivers have saved me many trips to the truck, the blades take a heck of an edge and keep it well. Also carry a cheap Winchester Stockman that I abuse daily, its had a miserable life. I'm lost without those 2 knives.

I've been carrying a Kershaw leek , the assisted opening is pretty cool , great for opening packages and cutting tape , things like that.

The day i got it I was playing with it in my backyard on my patio , initiated the assisted oppening while holding the knife awkwardly and the blade sprung open , slit my left index finger open causing me to drop the brand new knife on the concrete!    :scared:                :knothead:

Now I always make shure I have a firm grip on the handle before opening the blade.

Mine's just like Dougs. I use it all day long in the leather shop.

I'm sure not advertising around the talent on this forum. Maybe mine would cut it in a beginers class.  :)

Must be something going around, I lost mine last week.  I think it happened while clearing out some overgrown wild rose bushes.
The dogs don't have it either. It was a CRKT knife 2903 folding HISSATSU, with assisted opening.  Can't stand it any longer gonna have to buy a new one.  :banghead:

Mine's a handmade Puma 985 Custom. 2.5" stainless lock blade, very flat and lays comfortably not only in the pocket, but also in the hand. If that either won't or doesn't get the job done, I also carry a 4" S&W Model 29.    ;)

I always had a love affair with knives and have way too much money invested in some of the finest knives ever made. But that being said I carry and have carried for over 30 years (not the same knife)a Swiss Army Tinker model.  It's the right size, carries in the pocket well and is in use several times a day for more uses than you can imagine.
