Kzoo Expo-New Bow (Man-Law)
« on: January 27, 2008, 10:59:00 AM »
Made the trip up to Kalamazoo yesterday for the Expo with the intention of bringing home a new toy.  Shot a lot of bows and the real stand out for me was the Great Plains SR Swift.  At 58" it draws smooth and is fast.  More importantly the grip fits like a glove and it's the best point and shoot bow I've ever laid my hands on.  I got the "El Dorado" model with phenolic in the riser (plenty of mass weight) and all black limbs.

Also picked up a neck knife from Fred Asbell.

All in all a great day.

Very nice. I enjoyed shooting a couple of their bows too, and chatting with the bowyer and his wife. Very nice folks.

Very nice bow.  Those are high quality and beautiful to boot!  I bought the same knife from G. Fred here at the Trad West last year.  Good little knife.
