Bear Bowhunter Kit

I want to make a reproduction Bear Bowhunter Kit of sorts. Does anyone have plans for the sheath? Or at least pictures enough to figure it out.

Any pics of the back side? Trying to figure out how much of that is one piece of leather, where all the seams are, and if there is a welt?

Those are just flat-out cool!
When the last deer disappears into the morning mist,
When the last elk vanishes from the hills,
When the last buffalo falls on the plains,
I will hunt mice for I am a hunter and I must have my freedom.

By looking at those pictures I would say 4 pieces of leather. Single back piece, folded at the top and run down, maybe all the way to give double back layer. keeper strap sewn into fold of Back. Then front piece, pre molded and sewn into place. Stone keeper added whensewing gets to that point. All leather looks fairly thin to me and the tops of the front piece and stone holder look to be folded over for smooth edge. File edge looks like it has some sort of fold too, looking at the bottom corner.

The back of the Bowhunter's kit sheath has a pocket to carry an extra string...

That's awesome. I would not have known that. It explains the extra seam near the file (extra...if the main body of the sheath was one piece).

That really is one slick outfit. I may have to put something together like that for myself. If you get it worked out don't forget to do a Build-Along.  :bigsmyl:    :bigsmyl:
