Twelve dollar knife makers vise

I posted an tutorial on making a simple knife maker's vise for about $12    here .

Great idea, I have a one that is close to yours but it cost me a few dollars more. Knifemaker

I built this one awhile back..It's made from some scrap stuff I had around the shop.If you look close in one pic you can see a brass pin that holds the bottom jaw in the vice..I glued some rubber fabrica on the jaws.
