Hot off the Forge
« on: October 15, 2010, 11:50:00 AM »
Here is one i just finished, it was made after one that Mr. Lin let me take home after the hammer-in Ark. last year.
forged 1/4" 1084 oal 9 1/4" with Cal. buckeye, dimond file work in the spine

Next one is one i made for my daughter, she's always drawing knives for me. forged 3/16" 1084 with birdseye maple, vine file work on spine

this one is the first one ive tried wood inlay, not great, but ok for my first one
forged 1084 handle is spalded burch and black walnut

I post one like this next one a couple weeks ago, made another one just like it. 1084 with deer antler

Let me know what you think of my new knife stands, just playing around the other day
thanks for looking

Great job. The lines and flow are great on the knives and sheaths.

Thanks for the comments, I'm really happy with the buckeye knife, I almost lost the handle, due to getting in a hurry with the guard. I rushed the guard and did not let it set over night, so after I had the handle epoxyed on and was profiling it I took the tape off and noticed the guard had moved, so I call Mr. Lin and told me how to remove it, thank God it worked. And thanks you Lin. Reset the guard and handle
A hard lesson learned
thanks again
Dana
