Old millitary Knife
« on: October 16, 2010, 04:08:00 PM »
I have a trunk with some old millitary knives..This is an unusual knife & scabbard.Just wondering if anyone could tell me how old or even what I've got here. The lettering on the knife is--DEPOSE--The scabard is like the older millitary items that has the fold over strap that has a slit in it and fits over a brass post. Not a snap.

Déposé in French means "registered" (short for "registered trademark" or "registered patent").  Should be some other markings along with that.
