BATCH OF RESURRECTED BLADES

GOTTA COUPLE MORE DONE. WEATHERS GETTING WARMER SO I WILL BE ABLE TO START MAKING KNIVES AGIAN.<><
   
   
 AND THEN THERE THE TINY RASPY NESSMUK UNDER 5" OAL.<><

THESE TWO WERE RECURRECTED FROM A OLD DOUBLE SPRING TRAP.

Yeah i like these small hatchets. I got the idea awhile back from Lin Rhea,. He did one that I thought was awesome and had to try and make one. I do two style of a mini hatchet.. The combos seem to be well liked. Glad ya all like them.<><

Nice - No. 2 and 4 in the top pic are my favs although I think I need to find an old trap and make one with the big finger hole in it.  I like to have lanyard loop to hand up my blade while working in the field.  How many times have a set a knife down while doing field work on a deer only to take 5 minutes to find it.  That hole from the trap would be perfect!  Not to mention it looks really cool and has historic character.

theres alot of nice knives there frank.  the hatchet/knive pair is my pick of the litter though.

The dbl spring trap blades are very cool! I got some of my grandfathers traps that I would like to do this too. What kind of steel are they? how did you quench and heat treat the blade?

I got a nice 4" trap spring that would make some nice little knifes that would be nice to carry while hunting.
