Finished up some knives and thought I'd share some pictures with you.
I have not done the blades on any of them, only the handles, but I'd still love to hear your thoughts
on improving amd developing myself as a hobby knifemaker.
Here we go :
My 2nd ever knife, thanks to all TG'ers for helpful tips around xmas time!
This knife was a X-mas present for my friend Øivind, to match his Mojostik.
440c steel, woods are Padauk and Osage with red spacers.
Finished with superglue.
Pics taken by Øivind himself, as he is a photographer.
You'll see the difference in the next photos ^^
Third knife
Originally, this knife was supposed to be dark brown, but when stained and oiled I was too quick
to rub with 1200grit, and some stain was removed.
I had to sand it all down and it left this pattern, which I liked.
Not quite sure of the steel, but made by Polar, maybe Carbonsteel?
Wood is Birchroot, finished with Liberon Finish Oil
Fourth knife
Finished this one yesterday, and really happy with it. Some minor finish problems though..
Polar Carbon Steel again? It is very sharp though, and has already drawn blood from my thumb ^^
Wood is Amboyna burl, tinn-silver and black spacers with buffalo horn up front.
Finished with Liberon Finish Oil
Starting on a fifth sometime next week!
Thanks in advance for all critiques, except on my sloppy photoskills
