Another built Ford tough coil spring knife. I am not real happy with the fit and finish on this one but I learned a lot about how "not" to put together a set of scales with 12 pins. Especially with liners.
Lessons learned: 1. use the drill press so holes are as close to perfectly straight as possible
2. Cut pins to "as close as possible" to finish length prior to glue up
Holes were a touch off so getting everything to line up with epoxy hot was tough and pins were too long to get the pressure with my quick clamps as tight on the shales as I would have liked. Beyond that it looks pretty decent and will be a solid servicable knife for whomever I give it to. Need to make up a sheath for it today. Blade 4.25" overall 9.25"
Bokote with liners made from a plastic container lid.
