The little belt knife is a gift for a fund raiser. A guy at work has some health issues and there is a benefit dinner. thanks guys

Mater I love that little belt knife. That is something that I was going to try on my next knife for myself. It's great to see one done by someone else.

Do you use flux to forge the copper into the steel?  Assuming that is copper!

I tig welded it on first, then pound it in. Somebody on here was talking about this along time ago, I said Id try it. It just took me awhile to get around to it. I sure like the looks of it. I need to control it better. Its kinda hard to see while your doing it, gets all black and you cant tell where youve been.
