COUPLE OF KNIVES FOR TWO SOLDIERS
« on: May 12, 2011, 04:58:00 PM »
Iwas asked if I would make a couple of knives for   two soldiers that got wounded and lost limbs in Iraq and Afghanistan. There going on a hunt that was donated to them and the guy thought they might like a knife to go with them. He asked me if I could etch the purpleheart medal on the blade(which I am going to do next) and I said yes and also that I was happy to do it. I used purpleheart and antler for the handles. think they turned out ok.<><

Two beauties Frank!! Nice touch using purple heart wood too. Thank you for honoring our vets in such a way. It may seem small but I'm sure they will be proud to own them.
I reckon so

Frank very cool! Of course you did a good job on these knives. I am sure they will be as proud to own them as you were honored to make them. Give us another picture after you etch the blades, I would like to see that..Henry

Great knives, as always, Frank! Thanks for doing that for the injured vets. Using purple heart is a perfect idea.
