Trio of Light Weights
« on: June 11, 2011, 11:56:00 AM »
I just came back from two week visit with my daughter in Seattle. I was itching to make kinves when I came back, and..... I just couldn't stop. All three features mirror polished D2 with 3 to 3 1/4 inch blade. Top one has satbilized zebrawood, middle has oil finished cocobolo, and the bottom one has stabilized Bastogne walnut handle. I made these in order to get back "In the groove" of knife making in preparation to my most ambitious knife project to come: Hogging out an integral hilt knife with tapered tang out of 1/2" thick bar of D2 tool steel.
