Dont it drive ya nuts when someone says the blade aint marked??? first thing many people do is look for a stamp or etch...Had to start doing just that mark em...That knife looks just fine!!! And that Ironwood is beautiful...Heck you know what it is and can tell em what it is..LOL. If like me most the knives go to friends and family anyway as gifts.. Really tho that stamp or etch defines your work! Not someone elses. My son's say This is my Dads brand.
That is so excellent workmanship!!!!! Makes me really wanna make some better projects...

Mike (75diagg), the question about the mark was just a QUESTION, most guys that make knives put their stamp or etch on the blade just to say they made it. SO sorry about driving you NUTS for my question.

Honestly, I really want to get a makers mark. I'm just trying to design a mark that I really like. It's hard to come up with something that can be made so small that it doesn't look cluttered. I'd like some kind of logo or something besides my name.

Bodork, sorry I didn't see this thread sooner. Check out Ernie's stencils.
www.erniesknives.com
He's a knifemaker himself and understands the requirements for a properly fitting stencil. Another TradGanger turned me on to him. I sent him a rough sketch. He said he could do it, but had some suggestions that I liked better. Affordable and first class. You will really love the feeling of seeing your own mark on one of your knives.
