I finally bit the bullet and got a new bow. I've been shooting my Assenheimer takedown recurve since 1991 but wanted something new. I decided on a Toelke Whip. She arrived today.
It's 60" 55lbs @ 27" Juniper over bamboo limbs and ebony riser. The picture doesn't do it justice. It's a beauty. I was able to fling a few arrows when I got home from work before dark and I'm amazed at how quiet, smooth and quick the bow is. It's also amazing to me how much lighter it feels in my hand compared to my Assenheimer. I need to do some tweaking as far as getting the proper arrow set up but even without perfectly matched arrows it shot very nicely.
By the way, I'm not trying to brag. I love seeing other guy's new bows so I figured I'd share mine as well.
