S-guard camp bowie
« on: August 31, 2011, 11:09:00 AM »
Again.. sorry for not posting here lately.. but, as usual I've been off on tangents delving deep into the past.

But here is an S-guard camp bowie:

15.5" OAL, blade is mild steel/nickel foil and Aldo 1084.  Deeply etched wrought iron guard ... which is two twisted bars forge welded together and then forged flat. Deer antler 'ferrule' and nickel spacer. Claro walnut with nickel between morticed scales.

Nice!  Very Nice!  The nickel running down the handle is a most interesting touch to complement a already interesting package!

I have been keeping an eye on project from the past!  Should be a interesting colaboration!

Scott, do you get Aldo's Fine Grain 1084?
