1st knife in 3 years....wooohooooo
« on: November 21, 2011, 12:59:00 PM »
Been out of forging for roughly 3 years.  This is my first since getting my new anvil and re-firing the forge.  Knife is 5160, hammer forged and finish ground.  Triple normalized, oil quenched, and triple tempered.  Handle is walnut.  Pins are nails and thong hole is a piece of 2018 aluminum arrow.  Blade is full flat grind and tang is tapered.

Not bad for a beginner:) It would look better if you were using it to cut me up some deer summer sausage.
