I am not surprised, but I am disappointed. I think I am going to try to make it to Mojam. I have been wanting to go for a few years.

Quite disappointing.  I was taking time off work and traveling too, along with 2 to 3 other friends.

There even was an ad in TBM about TJ, Don Thomas and Dave P. being there to sign books I think.

Sure hope they relocate it along the I-5 corridor.  It would be a shame if we lose it all together.

Say it's not so...are we sure it's not going to happen?  Who sent you the e-mail, is it confirmed?  Man, if I ever win the lottery I'm going to sponsor an event here in Idaho for all of you, this hurts!

The N.W. has a great tradition of shooting, building and hunting with longbow and recurve. Like they say "location, location, location!". I agree that to have it more accessible would be better.

I agree with you guy's 110%.The northwest is a great area to live hunt and fish.I believe in Washington, there are only around 20,000 maybe 24,000 archery tags sold per season(we must chose our weapon per tag).If all the bowhunters here went to the expo it would still be pretty small by todays standards of sporting expos.bd

Glass 1/2 empty perspective: The population density is so low in the northwest that it will not support a Trad Expo.

Glass 1/2 full perspective: Woo-Hoo! Yehaa! The population density is so low in the northwest that it will not support a Trad Expo.

Living in the midwest where there is a bowhunter in every other tree, I'd happily donate our annual Trad Expo IF you'll also agree to take an extra million or so bowhunters who statistically speaking, make it worthwhile for the vendors to attend the Expo.

Labs -- You have it nailed. The pop density of trad archers and bowhunters throughout the West is too low to support a mega-event like you have in the East. Even so, a more centrally located event, nearer large population centers, could easily attract enuf potential buyers to attract vendors for a nice show. I hope some entrepreneur will get going on this.

So far as your offer to trade a million eastern hunters to the West ... well, shucks, we already get more than that every year as nonresident hunters. I can't help but chuckly sourly every time I hear someone moan about the decreasing number of hunters in America. I wish they'd decrease here on the West Slope of CO during elk season! Not only is it more crowded every Sept., but more and more come with ATVs, and one "hunter" buzzing around on one of those things is as disruptive to wildlife, hunting, and the whole reason for being out there than a hundred on foot. So ... maybe we ARE better off without an Expo. But darn, they sure were fun. Dave
